Westphal Events
Drexel University's Design College, Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design, host various events throughout the year, touching on relevant topics to each of it's programs. The following are brief descriptions of each of the above projects:
Inside the Archives of the Grateful Dead and Phish, was a two part series. The first was a podcast featuring the best of Philly shows performed by the two bands. The second a lecture with the archivists followed by a question and answer session. The design of the poster was inspired by classic posters of the psychadelic genre.
Defying the Odds, was a concert and lecture with Jason Crigler, a musician from New York, who overcame the challenges that came with his brain hemorrhage. Jason had lost the ability to walk, talk and play guitar, but he was able to overcome his hardships with the love and support of his family and friends. The strength of the love between him and his family was the inspiration for this piece.
Greening Your Brand, was a lecture which set out to explain to and enlighten guests with the importance of a strong brand and competitive business practices in order to stand out in a time where everyone is "Going Green." This piece was branded as a fun and fresh event with a heavy concentration on being eco-friendly.
